Just came across this wonderful list of ideas from the Six Month MBA that are free for the taking – proving that the value is not in generating ideas (they obviously had a lot of fun in coming up with these ones) but in making them happen.
Ideas are a dime a dozen. The money is in the execution.
Need proof? For Seth Godin’s Alternative MBA program, this week the nine of us came up with 111 business ideas each. But ideas are only valuable when someone (like you) makes something happen.
What follows are our 999 business ideas, free for the taking.
Some of these I have seen done, such as “Prepackaged school supplies based on the lists from the school districts” (there is a Canadian company doing this – should probably be one in the UK too!)
And others would work quite well on mobile I’d say, such as “whistle It.com: download audio of people whistling popular songs.” There are lots of specific iPhone apps in there too!
